At Encompass, we pride ourselves in the development and delivery of training that meets the specific learning or development needs of your organisation, interagency network or workgroup. We firmly believe that training must go beyond theory to examine how workers might apply learnings in their own practice with families, children, young people and individual clients.
We take an innovative experiential approach that builds on the level of expertise already held by participants, and challenges them to examine their current practice and extend their repertoire of knowledge and skills.
We regularly develop and deliver small group and workplace-based training for child protection workers, family support workers, youth workers, and community support workers – in fact anyone working with families, children and young people. Tutorial follow-up is available to help consolidate learning in practice. This can include individual or group professional development, monitoring of learning plans, and case-based mentoring.
All our training is informed by latest research and thinking, is evidence-based where applicable, and regularly updated. Training is always customised to your practice environment to take account of legislative or practice requirements, including the policy or procedures of your organisation where relevant.
We can develop training workshops and/or modules that meet your needs and deliver the training when and where it suits your organisation. We welcome enquiries about how we can help meet your needs.
We can deliver any of our existing Encompass workshops where and when it suits your organisation, across Queensland or interstate..
